"This is a print of the Kwakiutl Band's canoe that was carved by Mervyn Child and Calvin Hunt. It is a 40' long (and requires) 14 pullers and one steersman. The Eagle design depicted on the bow is the main crest of the Kwagu'l. Raven is depicted on the stern. those travelling in this canoe are the first to speak, feast, sing, etc. It is head canoe of all canoes; big brother of all canoes."--Calvin Hunt

This print is hand produced by the screenprinting process. Half the edition is printed on white, and the other half on beige Stonehenge cover paper. Paper size: 18.5 x 76.5 cm., image size 12 x 69 cm.
