"This print was inspired when my wife and I renewed our 25th Anniversary Vows. I designed a screen which is a representation of my family. The box at the bottom of the print represents where our treasures came from. The Wolf represents myself, Calvin Hunt; this comes from my mother's side from the Mowochaht of Friendly Cove which belonged to my grandfather. This Wolf has the same ranking as our Hamatsa of the Kwagu'l. I am holding up my wife, Marie, represented with the Copper. This crest comes from her father's side. The Thunderbird comes from my grandmother's side from Koskimo; this represents our eldest son, Jordan. The small Wolf, is my Wolf Dance, which I will pass to our son, Nolan, sometime in the future. The Tokwid, designed in the form of sisiutl represents good and bad, belongs to our daughter, Ali.
Yuman Na'mima means "my family" in Kwakwala."
This print is hand produced by the screenprinting process, of Stonehenge Cover white paper: size: 44 x 76.5 cm., image size: 35 x 68 cm.
