The character is 'Dzoonakwa', Wild Woman of the Woods, but this is the masculine aspect of the character, called 'Gheekumhl', who now becomes an aggressive warrior, minion of Kumakwa, Chief of the Undersea World, Provider of All Copper. When Gheekumhl comes into the room, holding the Copper, symbol of wealth in his arms, the people gathered there know the ceremonies are coming to an end, with the chief about to dispose of the copper in a manner which declares his disdain for wealth. Sometimes he hacks a piece off, sometimes he gives it away and sometimes he destroys it entirely.
