In 1987, on Vancouver Island, surrounded by the art of the northwest coast natives, he began to paint his impressions of this magic artform and sophisticated culture. His unique treatment of this subject has brought him both accolades and censure.
Ron's evolution has led him to explore the essential character of the west coast; in a series he calls the 'Old Salts' and his new series called 'Contemporary West Coast'.
You will also be delighted with Ron's explorations in 'Still Life' and his lovely, flowing wood carvings.
